Water Repairs in Shopping Centre Carpark in Mundaring

A burst water main is generally not a good thing. A burst water main next to a shopping centre is especially not a good thing.

In any case, this was the scenario facing the team at Stable Commercial recently in the Perth suburb of Mundaring, situated in the hills area to the east of the city.

A Cracked Mains and Overflowing Storm Drains

The source of the problem was twofold: Firstly, a root bound tree had cracked the mains line into the shopping centre. Secondly, the storm drains near the mains were also overflowing as a result of an overgrown root system.

Back to Normal Again at the Shopping Centre

In order to attack the problem, large areas of paving had to lifted so that the extensive root system could be dug out, and the damaged pipes replaced.

As always, once the repairs were carried out, the pavers were relayed, allowing the tenants in the shopping centre to get back to work and function as normal.
