4 Months to a Stunning Home Renovation
Did you know that the team at Stable Commercial can renovate your home?
That was the case recently when owner Eddie Ostler transformed the rear section of a circa 1890 home situated in the Perth suburb of Claremont – all in the space of four months.
The front half of the home had been fully renovated in 2011 and sold in 2012.
However, it was the original back half – comprising of a sloping skillion roof and an external laundry and large backyard – which most interested the new owners.
They recognised the potential to open up and build out in order to create more living space for themselves and for their two pre-teenage aged children.
The plan: contemporary seamless indoor/outdoor living PLUS – a kid’s wing
Drawing on the ideas of the draftsman from Stable Commercial, the owners decided to take advantage of the back garden by increasing the height of the skillion walls and install large bi-fold doors in order to create a contemporary kitchen dining area with seamless indoor/outdoor dining options. In addition, the owners opted to create an extensive kid’s wing comprising of two large bedrooms, both with ensuites, a TV room plus a much needed much larger laundry.
An unbelievable transformation …
Because of the short time-frame given the magnitude of the renovation, the owners decided to move out for the duration of the build.
This allowed Eddie and the team at Stable Commercial to better streamline the renovation process.
Given the need to accommodate the heritage listing of the property, the renovation required extensive matching of brickwork and roofing which was not always easy. However, thanks to craftsmanship and attention to detail of Stable Commercial’s team of tradesman, the project was completed – on-time and on budget.
As promised by Eddie and the team at Stable Commercial, on 21 December – 4 days before Christmas – the family returned to a newly renovated home comprising of a new cathedral sized light-filled French provincial style kitchen-dining and spacious “kid’s wing” – close enough to maintain the family dynamic while allowing for the degree of privacy that teenager’s crave.
As the lady of the house said: “I absolutely love Eddie and his team have done. The transformation from what we had to what we have now have is just unbelievable.”
